This paper will briefly discuss the development of networking communication technologies in the archaeology field. Internet technologies could introduce a new communication structure with the use of interactivity and hypermedia: but until now archaeological web sites still operate fundamentally through language, using almost exclusively a “symbolic-reconstructive” cognitive way that is a linguistic way; on the other hand another way of knowledge transmission is a “perceptive-motor” based on repeating cycles of perception-action-perception.
